The fundamental principle of Eduma is collective conception. From the beginning, Eduma has believed in the virtues of exchange, the crossing of ideas, common effort, shared knowledge, and enthusiasm. This project is born hand in hand with Mil Caminos and its educators, who every year demonstrate their social commitment. This approach is nurtured by the numerous achievements obtained over the past thirty years and by constant attention to the most disadvantaged.
Sports field in the village of Tidli, located in Tioughza which includes a soccer field, a basketball court, and a restroom. This project has not only transformed a space for sports and community recreation but has also strengthened the bond between youth in care and the local community.
Thanks to collaboration between Mil Caminos Foundation, Energy Without Borders, and Horizons, five solar pumping systems have been implemented in the rural communities of Imougni, Idmoloud, Tigigen, and Telgdouar, in the province of Sidi Ifni, Morocco.
Through the creation of two orchards and training in ecological agricultural techniques, the students of Tioughza have now learned to cultivate a variety of fruits and vegetables sustainably 360, as it is also maintained through a solar pumping system and drip irrigation.
In its commitment to improve the living conditions of children, the Mil Caminos Foundation has implemented a school health and hygiene program in several rural schools in Morocco. This project has provided educational institutions with appropriate sanitation infrastructure, such as toilets and sinks, in addition to offering workshops on personal hygiene practices and disease prevention.
Through educational and recreational activities, children have the opportunity to learn new languages while exploring the customs and traditions of other cultures. This approach enriches their academic formation and promotes intercultural understanding, strengthening social ties and providing tools for a better future.
In the women's workshops, essential topics such as feminine hygiene, prevention of waterborne and sexually transmitted diseases, and professional training are addressed. These workshops offer them practical tools for personal and economic development, fostering their empowerment within the community.
We have a medical dispensary in the community that has been operating for over 10 years, offering basic healthcare to the local population. This dispensary plays a crucial role in improving community health, providing consultations, treatments, and follow-up for common illnesses.
